
Wykład prof. Andrew Lee
27 marca 2025 r. o godzinie 12:30 w Instytucie Filologii Angielskiej Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego odbędzie się wykład otwarty organizowany przez program IDUB. Wykład zatytułowany „Demystifying second language pronunciation: Insights from researcher-practitioner collaboration” wygłosi Prof. Andrew Lee (Université Laval, Canada).
Abstrakt:
Despite the critical role of pronunciation in effective communication, why has pronunciation often been overlooked in second language learning and teaching? This talk will address this question, exploring the challenges associated with pronunciation instruction and offering evidence-based suggestions drawn from research on second language pronunciation. Participants will gain insights into the importance of second language pronunciation instruction and a useful model of researcher-practitioner collaboration that benefits all stakeholders in second language learning and teaching.
Biogram:
Andrew Lee (PhD, McGill University) is an Associate Professor in the Department of Languages, Linguistics, and Translation at Université Laval (Québec, Canada). His program of research investigates instructed second language acquisition, with a particular focus on the effectiveness of various instructional conditions and the impact of individual differences on the acquisition of second language pronunciation.
