The All-Polish Day of Ethnography, Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology was established by the Polish Ethnological Society in 2019. In 2023, its theme is: ETNOlibraries. From manuscripts to databases.
The aim of this year’s campaign is to promote libraries and book collections containing items on ethnography, ethnology and cultural anthropology and related disciplines. This year also marks the 70th anniversary of the cooperation between the Polish Folklore Society and the University of Wrocław, which began in 1953. The authorities of the University of Wrocław and the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, of which the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology is a part, are joining in the celebrations on 9 February. Their book collections were presented by His Magnificence Rector prof. Robert Olkiewicz, pro-rector prof. Artur Błażejewski and WNHiP Dean prof. Paweł Klint. The initiator of the project is dr hab.
