Academic Memorial Candle 2023
Ladies and gentlemen, Dear Colleagues,
in the last days of October- as in the previous years – the University Committee for the Care of Graves of the University of Wrocław Deserved Members will organise the “Academic Memorial Candle”. Its aim is to cultivate the memory of the deceased professors and other distinguished members of our university community and to take care of their graves in the cemeteries around Wrocław. For this purpose, we will clean together their graves, put flowers and light the candles.
Members of the university community, the employees, postgraduates, and students, who are concerned with their predecessors are welcome to join our initiative. On 30-31 October between 10:00 and 14:00 it will be available – upon previous appointment with the coordinator of the event- to collect (in the Museum of UWr) candles with special stickers and guidelines. Each and everyone of us can go at a convenient time to a cemetery of their choosing (that is a part of the initiative).
