Santa Claus lecture 2023
This year’s Santa Claus lecture by prof. Leszek Berezowski is behind us, but let’s return for a moment to the event itself. During yesterday’s lecture, over 220 high school students gathered in Aula Leopoldyńska, who came not only from secondary schools in Wrocław, but also from Wałbrzych, Namysłów and Jarocin. The introductory speech was delivered by prof. Robert Olkiewicz, who introduced young people to the topic of the upcoming holidays. During the lecture, prof. Leszek Berezowski talked about the history of Saint Nicholas, his origins and activities, ancient customs, traditions and beliefs, as well as how the figure of Saint Nicholas has changed over the centuries.
