Open master lectures by prof. Georg Schuppner
Prof. Georg Schuppener from the University of Lipetsk and the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava will make two visits within the framework of the IDUB guest professorship. He will be visiting the Department of Applied Linguistics at the UWr Institute of Germanic Studies as part of the IDUB UWr competition.
During both visits, the guest of the University of Wrocław will give 8 lectures dedicated to students, doctoral students and researchers of our University. By arrangement with the head of the Doctoral College of the Faculty of Letters and the management of the IDUB, prof. dr. dr. Georg Schuppner’s lectures will take the form of open master lectures.
The lectures will be held in hybrid form – stationary at the Institute of German Studies and online. Lectures will be held in German.
During the first visit (24.02.2023-9.03.2024), four lectures will be held according to the following schedule:
28.02.2024, 13.45-15.15: Das Verhältnis von Sprache und Politik – Grundlagen
29.02.2024, 12.00-13.30: Rechtspopulistische Wahlwerbung
5.03.2024, 12.00-13.00: Hassrede (Hate speech) – Erscheinungsformen und Handlungsstrategien
6.03.2024, 13.45-15.15: Sprache und Gewalt – Grundlagen und Formen
