We warmly recommend them, as they are extremely interesting publications. Marek Kwaśny has written the first monograph on Eybelwieser the Younger – a pupil and imitator of Michael Willmann’s style. The book is not only a story about the artist’s life and workshop, but also a catalogue of his works. Interestingly, the description of the artist’s life and work also includes themes of marketing, building a career strategy and cleverly manoeuvring between bourgeois audiences and powerful Catholic orders. Eybelwieser is the author of numerous altar paintings and interior decorations for churches in, among others, Świdnica, Krzelków, Gorzanów, Javorník and Lwówek Śląski.
He worked for various monasteries, including the Joannites, the Brothers of St John, the Dominicans and the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star. You will also find his frescoes in the Ossolineum!
Professor Dariusz Wojtaszyn – head of the Research Centre for the History of German and European Sport, who has cooperated with the German Football Association for many years – has taken care of the texts in the book on the most popular sport in Europe. This must-read about football is a great position for anyone interested in football, history, politics and sport. Inside you will find not only fascinating facts, but also analyses showing the interplay between football and politics of different countries, at different times.

Quart in the Publishing House
We would like to inform you that from 2024 onwards, ‘Quart’, the regular quarterly of the UWr Institute of Art History, is published by WUWr! The journal was established in 2006 with the intention of enabling the printing of scholarly works of the art history community and has quickly become a recognised title in the field. You can now read the latest issue on the Scientific Journals on the Web platform. The texts of issue 1(71)/2024 of ‘’Quart‘’ focus on interactive art and, in particular, the poetics of interfaces, shown from different perspectives and using different research methods.
