Nearly 100,000 observers follow the Historykon.pl fanpage on Facebook, and the website is one of the largest and most popular thematic pages on history. The publications of the University of Wrocław Press are of interest to editors and co-operating reviewers, as a result of which the editorial team occasionally receives requests to submit books for review.

Of course, we are always interested in how external readers, academics, researchers, journalists perceive the books created at WUWr.

About the book „Toksofilos. Szkoła łucznictwa”:

‘One might be tempted to say that it would be wonderful if every book was published with such care and diligence.’

‘The translation of Toxophilos was chosen by a pair of Polish archers, Michał Surma and Katarzyna Byłów, hence the fact that they chose such a text rather than another is not surprising. One reads the text very comfortably and with interest. ‘Football on the target of politics is a publication by the University of Wrocław Publishing House that has not been seen before. It is a collective work edited by Dariusz Wojtaszyn, bringing together researchers, journalists and even prosecutors focusing on the subject of football. The book is interestingly structured, leading the reader from the earliest times of football on Polish soil, when Poland was not yet on the map, through the difficult times of totalitarianism, to the controversial topics of modern football.’ The reviewer’s rating? 6/6, of course!
