Space Jam!
What a thrilling event it was! On Friday, March 20, two teams met at the university sports hall – the prorectors, deans, and professors of the University of Wrocław, and a team from the Institute of Political Science at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
The game with the professors was one of our auction items contributed to this year’s Final of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. It was won by our political science team, who decided to rise to the challenge and face the university authorities on the basketball court. How did they do?
Both teams showed great heart on the court and delivered an excellent display of healthy, friendly competition. The final score was 61:58 for… the visitors! They proved to everyone that they are not only skilled in analyzing current politics and global affairs, but also quite talented at sports.
The teams consisted of:
Hosts (professors): Arkadiusz Lewicki, Łukasz Machaj, Jacek Przygodzki, Paweł Klint, Dariusz Buraczewski, Mateusz Machaj, Mateusz Strzelecki, Jacek Ślopek, Małgorzata Zakrzewska, Krzysztof Krupiński.
Guests (Institute of Political Science): Paweł Nowakowski, Michał Kuś, Karol Szulc, Dawid Pieniężny, Piotr Sula, Tomasz Klin, Maciej Skrzypek, Tomasz Woźniakowski, Roch Krawczyk (student), Hubert Litwin (student). The team was coached by Robert Alberski.
Thanks to the match, The Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity account was enriched by 1300 PLN. Both teams deserve congratulations!
