“Empowering Science Education” Workshop
We invite everybody to take part in the international “Empowering Science Education” Workshop. The workshop will be focused on using AI tools in didactics, especially in the context of Inquiry-Based learning (IBL) and multimodal scientific communication. It is addressed to academic teachers who want to develop their students’ scientific literacy and AI-literacy.
The organisers of the workshop are:
- dr hab., prof. UWr Magda Dubińska‑Magiera,
- dr hab. Marta Migocka‑Patrzałek,
- prof. Sílvia Araújo, University of Minho.
The workshop offers a practical and thorough approach to the integration of AI tools into didactics and research:
- Practical Tools – how to use the new Dual Toolkit in everyday teaching and research.
- Ethics & Literacy – ethical boundaries of using AI in scientific contexts and ways of developing the right practice.
- Creative Communication– how to use multimodal AI tools in creative communication of research results.
- Student Insights – insights of students who have tested the Dual Toolkit during its creation.
The workshop will be conducted as part of a project funded by the Arqus Teaching Innovation Fund: Fostering Scientific and AI Literacy through Inquiry‑Based Learning in Animal Developmental Biology.
The online workshop will take place on 16 April 2026 from 9:00 to 12:00 a.m. (UTC +1) on Google Meet and Zoom. Registration via an application form.
