We are delighted to present the publication Between the Individual and the Collective: Historical Disputes and Current Issues, Volume 1, edited by Vice-Rector for Teaching, Professor Łukasz Machaj, (Department of Political and Legal Doctrines, Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics, University of Wrocław) and dr Anna Wirwis (Admissions and Promotion Coordination Office, Teaching Department, University of Wrocław).
The monograph offers students a unique opportunity to express their opinions publicly and engage in discussions on issues that shape the behavior of individuals and societies. It serves as a platform through which their voices can be heard beyond the classroom and recognised as a valuable contribution to social debate on a wider scale.
The purpose of the multivolume work titled “Between the Individual and the Collective: Historical Disputes and Current Issues” is to highlight the importance of listening to young people’s perspectives, as they often offer fresh approaches to complex problems and challenge established ways of thinking. By encouraging critical reflection and active participation in public discourse, the project promotes the belief that meaningful change begins when young people are empowered to speak, question, contribute, and have their voices heard, respected, and taken seriously.
Their willingness to address difficult questions and search for solutions provides hope for a more informed and responsible future.
