Students at the University of Wrocław develop their passions in 170 student scientific associations and organisations.
Some of the most active at our university are Earth science enthusiasts. Associated in five sections – lithosphere dynamics, engineering geology, hydrogeology, palaeontology and stratigraphy and mineralogy – the members of the Student Scientific Association of Geologists organise field trips to deep mines, open pits and quarries.
The “Continuum” Association of Mechanics and Computer Science Enthusiasts is famous for constructing a Martian rover. Since its inception in 2014, its members have had one goal in mind – to create a large team project to represent the university in international competitions. They set their sights on robotics and this is how the prototype of the Aleph 1 rover was created, which is doing well at international events (including the European Rover Challenge).

The Psyche Scientific Association of Clinical Psychology was founded for those passionate about psychology. The members of this association organise meetings and workshops with practising psychologists and therapists.
Every year, the Exchange of Scientific Associations and Student Organisations is launched at the University of Wrocław. It is an excellent opportunity to see fascinating experiments and presentations, talk to young scientists, learn about the specifics of their daily work – and find out which studies are worth choosing.
All the scientific associations of our university are waiting for new members. If you want to spend your free time creatively, choose one of them – and get active.
