Ukrainian citizens without temporary protection
Citizens of Ukraine who do not have temporary protection status due to the war in Ukraine, but:
- benefit from subsidiary protection on the territory of Poland;
- have a valid Pole’s Card;
- have the status of a long-term EU resident;
- have a permanent residence permit on the territory of Poland;
- have a refugee status on the territory of Poland
- have a decision on establishing their Polish origin;
- are EU/EFTA nationals or their family members residing in Poland;
- are a spouse, child or parent of a Polish citizen and live on the territory of Poland
- were granted a temporary residence permit for the purpose of family reunification (Article 159(1) of the Act on Foreigners);
- were granted a temporary residence permit because they hold a long-term resident’s EC residence permit granted by another Member State of the European Union or they are a family member of such a foreigner, with whom they stayed on the territory of another Member State of the European Union and they accompany him or want to reunite with him (Article 186(1) and (2) of the Act on Foreigners)
- are recruited according to the rules set out below.
Recruitment for studies in Polish at the University of Wrocław will start on 1 June 2022. The first stage of recruitment is the registration in the Internet Candidates Registration (www.irka.uni.wroc.pl). Recruitment for studies in English started in March 2022 and registration is via the website.

Under the selected course in the tab „cudzoziemcy” (“foreigners”) you will find detailed rules of recruitment, and in other tabs a description of the course, the occurring specialities, a list of required documents. The page will be updated on a regular basis with applicable tuition fees, a detailed recruitment schedule, information about admission limits and the time and place of admission examinations and the submission of documents.
