Let’s act together in Arqus! Grassroots initiatives (call until 17 March)

The call for proposals under the Arqus Innovation Fund has opened and will run until 17 March. It includes the „Ad Hoc Bootom-up Initiative” programme, which is designed to support the creation of any (scientific, teaching, organizational) joint initiatives by Alliance-focused universities. You can apply for 5000 EUR (3 partners) or 10000 EUR (5+ partners). If you have already thought about some form of international cooperation within Arqus and have a concrete idea – this is definitely the program for you. All additional information will be provided to you by our International Office.

Grassroots ad hoc initiatives – rules and requirements

Objective: The goal of the program is to encourage Arqus academics, administrators and students to launch innovative, grassroots ad hoc initiatives in a collaborative approach.

 Funding: At least 60% of available funds will be allocated to grassroots ad hoc initiatives.

Requirements for grassroots ad hoc initiatives

1. The project must involve at least three partner universities, and the initiative should be open to all nine partner universities.

2. A key evaluation criterion is the project’s impact on the Arqus alliance as a whole.

3. Projects should be in line with the main goals of the Arqus European University Alliance and the areas of activity of the Arqus boards:
– Education
– Research and innovation
– Community involvement

Budget The maximum amount of funding depends on the number of partners involved:
– EUR 5,000 – for smaller projects involving at least three Arqus partners.

– EUR 10,000 – for larger projects involving more than five Arqus partners.

Types of activities eligible for funding:
– Educational programs based on solving challenges
– Design collaboration labs
– Interdisciplinary seminars
– Events open to the public
– Joint short-term teaching projects
– Training topics
– Digital transformation and sustainability initiatives
– Theoretical workshop

Note: Projects focused solely on research objectives will not be funded.
