Dormitories
The University of Wrocław has five dormitories: Dwudziestolatka, Kredka, Ołówek, Parawanowiec and Słowianka. All dormitories are located within Grunwaldzki Square.
The University of Wrocław does not run a hotel/hostel. A person who has the status of a student/doctoral student of the University of Wrocław or participates in the didactic process of the University of Wrocław can apply for a place in a dormitory first. In the case of vacant places, it is possible for students from other Wrocław universities to apply for a place in a dormitory.
All people applying for a place in a student dormitory are required to read and comply with the rules of accommodation in student dormitories. The accommodation regulations for the academic year 2026/2027 are available below, in the “legal acts” tab.
Application for a place in dormitories for the academic year 2026/2027 will only be made electronically, according to the accepted timetable, via the USOSweb system.
Please enter the USOS system, then choose Common Section > Applications > List of applications. On the “Applications that you can submit” you should find form to fill: “Application for a place in a dormitory“.
ATTENTION! Minors are obliged to present the consent of their parents/legal guardians to live in the dormitory.The declaration must be downloaded from the website of the specific dormitory.
Payments for accommodation should be made by non-cash payment (bank transfer) to an individual bank account generated in the USOS system.
The account number is available after logging in USOS system, under COMMON SECTION -> Payments (model FK) -> uncleared debts.
Please do not make payments for a place in a student dormitory to the faculty account number.

| 3. Persons admitted to study at the University of Wrocław in the full-time and evening mode – first degree and single master studies. – IMPORTANT – additional submission of information on family income for the previous year applies to Polish citizens* and foreigners with permanent residence in Poland** Applicants for accommodation in a dormitory are required to provide, in the electronic application form, their own declaration of the monthly net income per person in their family for the year preceding the application year. Applicants who provide the income amount in the application form do not need to submit documents confirming their income, unless the Vice-Rector for Student Affairs requests additional explanations in an individual case. The application may include only the following documents: a disability certificate and/or a permanent residence permit, if such documents have been issued and the applicant wishes to provide them. Due to the planned renovations, available places will be offered only in double rooms in the following dormitories: Słowianka, Parawanowiec, and Dwudziestolatka. Dwudziestolatka has a modular layout. A module consists of two rooms (in a 2+2 arrangement). Słowianka and Parawanowiec do not have a modular layout. In Dwudziestolatka, a two-room module includes a private bathroom. The kitchen is shared by the entire dormitory wing. In Słowianka and Parawanowiec, there are no private bathrooms or kitchens. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are shared by the entire dormitory wing. The application system allows students to indicate the dormitory where they would prefer to live. However, due to the limited number of available places, there is no guarantee that a place will be assigned in the preferred dormitory. If a student wishes to be accommodated with a specific person, both applicants should submit their applications for the same dormitory as their first preference. After receiving confirmation of an assigned place, they should contact the administration of the relevant dormitory. After receiving confirmation of accommodation, the student must pay the deposit to the individual bank account generated in the USOS system. Detailed information regarding the deposit will be provided in the confirmation (available in the application form and in the USOS system) and is also available in the accommodation rules (see the “Legal acts” tab below). The documents required on the day of check-in are listed in the sections dedicated to each dormitory. Minors must additionally provide, on the day of check-in, written consent from their parents/legal guardians to live in a dormitory. **Persons with a permanent residence permit in Poland (decision or permanent residence card) are obliged to attach them to the application, as well as provide in the application the address of their permanent residence in Poland and information on their family income for the previous year.
*A statement on the monthly net income per person in the family for the previous year (2025) must be submitted in the application. At this stage, you do not submit additional applications and documents confirming the amount of income. The income should be determined on the basis of the following document:
ATTENTION! We would like to kindly inform you that it is possible to apply for a preferred dormitory, but due to the limited number of places there is no guarantee of receiving a place in your preferred one. That is why we kindly ask you to choose several of them in your application.
When choosing your preferred dormitory, you should first choose the one where you are currently staying.
Students are accommodated in the dormitories the University of Wrocław after making prior arrangement of the date and time of arrival with the administration staff of dormitories. Arrangements must be made no later than 3 working days before the planned arrival by e-mail.
Students who wish to move to another dormitory during the academic year for justifiable reasons may submit request with justification by an e-mail to the Student Affairs Office. A change of room within a dormitory or a change of DS between dormitories: Kredka – Ołówek and Słowianka – Parawanowiec, the student arranges this with the administration of the dormitory.
Please note that there are no deadlines for submitting applications for dormitories for students from other universities. If it becomes possible for students of other universities to submit applications, information on this subject will appear on the website.
Priority in the allocation of a place in a dormitory is given to full-time and evening students of the University of Wrocław who are in a difficult financial situation and students of the University of Wrocław with a disability certificate. If the number of persons applying for a place in a dormitory is higher than the number of available places, the granting of a place is also dependent on the distance from the place of permanent residence.
