UWr delegation at Arqus Forum 2022
Arqus Forum 2022-an annual meeting of the 9 universities belonging to the alliance-is underway. Representatives of the University of Wrocław are participating for the first time. The forum was preceded by Sunday’s meeting of the Arqus Rectors’ Council, attended by UWr Rector Prof. Robert Olkiewicz and Vice Rector for Projects and International Relations Prof. Patrycja Matusz.

This year the Forum is being held in Granada and will run until September 13. More than 150 participants, including students and academics from universities in Wrocław, Padua, Lyon, Leipzig, Bergen, Vilnius, Graz, Minho, and Granada, are summarizing the last three years of Arqus’ work and debating the future of European university alliances, and in particular the Arqus alliance, which in July this year received funding from the European Commission for the next four years of its activities.
During the morning session, Vice Rector Prof. Patrycja Matusz moderated 3 panels on the results achieved in the past 3 years in activities related to inclusion and diversity Widening Access, Inclusion and Diversity (AL2), Student-centred Frameworks for Quality Learning (AL3) and Multilingual & Multicultural University (AL4).
The next session will focus on action lines Entreprenieural University and Regional Engagement (AL5), Research Support and Early-Stage Researcher Development (AL6), Engaged European Citizens (AL7) and Research and Innovation dimensions of the Alliance (Arqus RI). In addition to the plenary sessions, there will also be working meetings of the various Arqus alliance units to discuss specific tasks to be carried out in the next four years.
The main activities envisaged for the period 2022-2026 concern the mobility of staff and students within all the universities belonging to the network, the common educational and training offer for staff and the development of new innovative actions towards its roll-out as a fully-fledged European University.
Forum is streamed on Youtube Arqus channel.
