New representatives

Prof. Robert Olkiewicz, the rector of the UWr, has appointed new representatives. The representative for mobbing prevention, along with the representative for counteracting the effects of mobbing, will ensure the work environment at the university remains safe and friendly.

The positions were taken up by dr hab. Karolina Stopka (Representative for mobbing prevention) and dr hab. Wiktor Żłobicki, prof. UWr (Representative for counteracting the effects of mobbing).

A new Ombudsperson for equal treatment and anti-discrimination has also been appointed. The position was taken up by dr Małgorzata Kolankowska.

The representative for mobbing prevention will handle employees’ complaints, initiate proceedings before the Anti-Mobbing Committee, andinform the rector about the actions undertaken due to the complaints made. She will also answer the UWr employees’ mobbing-related questions and explain the anti-mobbing proceeding to them.

Karolina Stopka – post-doctoral degree in law, assistant professor in the Department of Labour Law at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław, head of Labour Law and Social Security postgraduate studies, and the Specialist Training for Organising Social Assistance, member of the Local Government Appeal Court in Wrocław, author of academic works in the field of social security and labour law.

The representative for counteracting the effects of mobbing will gather information regarding good practices that help achieve that goal, share insight in that area, and organise training courses for the employees. He will also actively participate in the ongoing affairs related to mobbing by attending mediations, monitoring the effects of the anti-mobbing actions, and informing the rector about the results of undertaken actions.

Wiktor Żłobicki – post-doctoral degree in humanities, pedagogue, education theorist and practitioner, author of nearly 100 academic works: books, editorials, and articles in academic journals. He has been associated with the University of Wrocław since 1974 when he began his Master’s studies. He then continued his academic career by becoming an assistant professor and – eventually – a university professor. Head of the Department of General Pedagogy at the Institute of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, honorary member of the Polish Educational Research Association, psychotherapist and member of the Polish Society for Gestalt Psychotherapy.

The position of the Ombudsperson for equal treatment and anti-discrimination was taken up by dr Małgorzata Kolankowska. Further information about her responsibilities and this field can be found on Equal UWr.

dr Małgorzata Kolankowska – employed at the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication of the UWr, and Academic Research Centre Olga Tokarczuk Ex-Centre. Rector’s representative for equal treatment and anti-discrimination at the Faculty of Letters since 2021. Along with dr Łukasz Prus, she initiated the activity of the University Discussion Club. In her academic work, she studies the connections between journalism and literature.
