The international, interdisciplinary academic conference devoted to Józef Mackiewicz’s works will take place on the 17th of November 2022 at the Institute of Polish Studies.
The Institute of Polish Studies of the University of Wrocław and the Institute of National Remembrance (Wrocław Branch) organise the session.
Kazimierz Orłoś will be a special guest of the conference.
A meeting with him, held by prof. Marek Zybura, will take place at the conference during a time allotted for a discussion before lunch.
The session will be an opportunity to pose questions about modern interpretations of Józef Mackiewicz’s works. Discussed issues will include questions connected with receptions to his works in Poland, Germany and Lithuania, the historical context and author’s style.
Researchers from diverse seats of learning (both Polish and foreign) will participate in the conference: historians, literary scholars and linguists.
