Academic Legion – information on the agreement
The Coordinator of the Academic Legion School at the University of Wrocław informs:
Due to numerous enquiries regarding participation in the Academic Legion, i.e. voluntary military training of students, I would like to inform you that we are currently waiting for the signing of a relevant agreement between the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of National Defence. Only after signing this agreement, the detailed rules under which civilian universities will implement the Academic Legion School programme will be known. Then it will be possible to provide full information on the extent of the participation of the University of Wrocław in this training.
It is planned to organise a series of three information meetings with representatives of the Military Recruiting Office about the basic training. Please expect further information on this matter, it will be announced as soon as it is provided to the University by the responsible institutions.
At the same time, I appeal to those who have completed the basic training (theoretical and practical) and have taken the military oath and would like to continue the training at the NCO level to contact me via email – piotr.marszalek@uwr.edu.pl.
I encourage also other people interested in attending the Academic Legion School to contact me via email. In addition, those who have obtained a master’s degree or will obtain it in the coming months and would like to undergo the officer training should contact the heads of Military Recruiting Offices relevant to their place of residence.
