The Faculty of Physics and Astronomy of UWr cordially invites to an open lecture by prof. Natalie Jachowicz of Ghent University entitled “Neutrinos and their interactions, on earth and in the universe”. The lecture will be delivered in English. Prof. Natalie Jachowicz is staying at the University of Wrocław as part of the IDUB ‘visiting professors’ programme.

Prof. Natalie Jachowicz is a theoretical physicist and professor at Ghent University in Belgium. The research group she founded deals with various aspects of modelling neutrino interactions with atomic nuclei, which is an important theoretical contribution to ongoing and planned experiments investigating the phenomenon of neutrino oscillations. Prof Natalie Jachowicz is currently one of the two heads of NuSTEC (Neutrino Scattering Theory Experiment Collaboration), a prestigious group coordinating international research on neutrino interactions.

The project “Integrated Program for the Development of the University of Wrocław 2018-2022” co-financed by the European Union from the European Social Fund
