Students of the University of Wrocław in competition for BioLAB – American Internship Program
On March 15-16, 2023, at the Faculty of Chemistry, students of the University of Wrocław signed up for the BioLAB program.
The interviews were conducted by program coordinators of host institutions – prof. Zygmunt Derewenda from the University of Virginia, Jose Rizo-Rey from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and dr Umesh Deshmukh from Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.
BioLAB is a way of supporting students studying biochemical, biophysical, and medical sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Bioinformatics, Biotechnology, Chemistry, Physics, Pharmacy, and Medicine) in their passion and broadening their academic and cultural horizons.
The winners of the competition will go for a year-long internship in one of four American academic facilities: University of Virginia, University of Chicago, Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, and UT Southwestern Medical Center. BioLAB is fully funded by the hosting institutions.
Preliminary results will be announced in April 2023.
