What is more, our postgraduate studies have been awarded an extraordinary certificate “Laur Europejski” [European Laurel]. It is given to studies, which implemented the most innovative and unique ways of internationalization in studying and international cooperation. Both honors top the 20th anniversary of the studies up.

The aim of the postgraduate studies is to pass on knowledge and develop translating skills necessary for oral and written translations (certified translator or interpreter), and linguistic polishing for the listeners (specialized varieties of language, especially law).

The course will prepare the postgraduate students for the certified translator’s exam. The classes will be conducted by well thought of German translators with years of experience.

For 20 years, the Faculty of Letters at the University of Wrocław has been collaborating with academic institutions in Germany and Austria, for instance, Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz (Germersheim), Hochschule Zittau/Görlitz oraz Universität Innsbruck, as well as The Directorate-General for Translation for the European Commission. As a matter of this collaboration, German and Austrian lecturers and translators conduct classes for students at the Institute of German Studies of the University of Wrocław.
