The Metazies, so what generation Z thinks about metaverse
Student Scientific Association “Briefly” operating at the Institute of Journalism and Social Communication of the University of Wrocław, has written the report together with former members of the association titled “The Metazies, so what generation Z thinks about metaverse.”
In the report students presented metaverse seen through the eyes of generation Z. In focus group interviews they asked respondents: What do they know about mataverse? What emotions do this concept evokes in them? What excites them, and what terrifies them? How do they imagine using the metaverse and would they be willing to become its users themselves? And even more questions about this enigmatic concept, which can become our reality faster than it seems.
The focus group interviews were preceded by content analysis, which allowed to determine what about metaverse can be found in the internet and how internet creators present this concept. In order to achieve full and comprehensive picture of the studied subject, interviews with experts from the new technology field were carried out as well.
