With deep sadness we inform you that dr hab. Agnieszka Libura, prof. UWr died prematurely on 3 April.
The university employee of the Institute of Polish Studies of the University of Wrocław, head of the Cognitive Research Center for Language and Communication, member of the Department of Applied Linguistics, former president of the Polish Cognitive Linguistics Association, former lecturer of the Polish language at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Researcher known in the international environment. She was scientifically engaged in cognitive investigation, semantics, theory of mental spaces and conceptual integration, theory of metaphor, linguistic pragmatics, psycholinguistics, research on humor, language acquisition and research on inherited language. Author of significant and appreciated works in this area, teacher of several generations of students of Polish Studies in Wrocław, supervisor of doctoral, master and bachelor theses. Caring, sincere and nice friend.
