
Homo-Aesteticus: Man at the Borderline of Art, Perception and Aesthetics
On 16 May this year, the Institute of Psychology of the University of Wrocław invites to an unusual interdisciplinary event entitled „Homo-Aesteticus: człowiek na pograniczu sztuki, percepcji i estetyki” (‘Homo-Aesteticus: Man on the Borderline of Art, Perception and Aesthetics’).
During the meeting, you will be able to listen to lectures by exceptional guests:
- 10.00 – dr hab. prof. UWr Piotr Sorokowski (psychologist) and dr. hab. Jerzy Luty (philosopher) „Ewolucyjne znaczenie sztuki – badania społeczności Asmat w Papui Zachodniej” (“The evolutionary significance of art – research on the Asmat community in West Papua”)
- 11.00 – Dr. phil. Katja Mellmann (philologist) “Cognitive Substrates of Storytelling. Questions and Methods”
- 12.00 Bomave Konate (sculptor) “Social Functions of the Traditional Sculptor in African Society” (our guest is a famous sculptor in Burkina Faso, lecture in French, with translation into Polish).
The lectures will take place at ul. Dawida 1 in room 22.
