Polish-Czech events just ahead

On Tuesday 20 June, the Scientific and Programme Committee of the Board of the Polish-Czech Scientific Association 2023 Congress met at the University of Wrocław.

The meeting was chaired by the co-chairs of the Committee: prof. Jan Rychlík (Charles University in Prague and Technical University in Liberec, member of the Board of the Polish-Czech Scientific Association together with dr Ryszard Gladkiewicz (Chairman of the Board). The guests were welcomed by the Rector of the University, prof. Robert Olkiewicz.

The congress, the organisation of which was discussed, is open to the widest possible range of participants. All those involved in Polish-Czech cooperation in the fields of science, education and culture are invited. The programme has been divided into a session in Opole (24-27 September 2023) and a session in Prague (15-18 October 2023).

The Committee decided to extend the registration of participants until 15 July.

In the circles interested in Polish-Czech scientific and educational cooperation, especially in 2006, the founded the Board of the Polish-Czech Scientific Association, the idea of a Congress of Polish Czech Studies as a broader forum for discussing these phenomena was born. The Congress was held in autumn 2016. The Congress of Czech Polish Studies was held in autumn 2019.

In December 2019, it was agreed to organise the next Congress as an already joint Polish-Czech continuation of these initiatives under the name of the 2nd Congress of Polish and Czech Polish Studies.
