Bridge Conference in Krzyżowa

From June 29 to July 1, 2023, the Polish-German Bridge Conference took place in Krzyżowa. It was the third edition of this significant scientific and business event, serving as a platform for knowledge and experience exchange among scientists and business professionals from Poland and Germany.

The Bridge Conference 2023 was organized by the Council of Rectors of Wrocław and Opole Universities, together with Wrocław University of Science and Technology (as the event leader), Łukasiewicz Research Network, and partners from Germany – Technische Universität Chemnitz and Fraunhofer IWU.

The University of Wrocław was represented by the Rector, prof. dr hab. Robert Olkiewicz, and the Vice-Rector for projects and international relations, dr hab. Patrycja Matusz, prof. UWr.

During the event, which was attended by nearly 200 participants, selected scientific achievements from both countries were presented, focusing on their potential contribution to solving key global challenges and their applicability in the industry.

The conference covered topics grouped into four thematic blocks: Energy Transformation and Circular Economy, Micro and Nanoelectronics, Health Protection and Food, and Technologies in Public Security.

The event received honorary patronage from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, the Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Wrocław, the Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Wrocław and Opole Universities, the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and the Rector of Technische Universität Chemnitz.
