We would like to invite you to participate in the 5th National Scientific Conference titled “Sustainable Energy System to Stop the Climate Crisis“ (original title: “Zrównoważony system energetyczny na rzecz powstrzymania kryzysu klimatycznego) scheduled for 23 November 2023 at 9:00 am in an online form (via Teams).
For the fifth time, the Department of the System of Public Administration of the Institute of Administrative Studies of the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław is pleased to organise an interdisciplinary debate on the issue of broadly understood climate-energy transformation. The challenges resulting from the growing climate crisis and the accepted goal of pursuing climate neutrality oblige us to carry out profound changes primarily in the energy sector, which is the largest emitter of greenhouse gases.
This year, we are focusing on the issue of transforming the energy sector to function in a sustainable model. As a result of such actions, it is possible to stop the climate crisis.
The conference is organised every year in an interdisciplinary format with the participation of academics and industry experts, which allows a joint search for the best solutions combining knowledge with good business practices.
Key issues of this year’s conference:
- the climate crisis against the thesis of anthropogenic global warming;
- climate protection – risks, protection instruments, climate responsibility;
- impact of climate change on the transformation of the energy sector;
- the concept of sustainability and a sustainable energy system – factors limiting the green transformation and challenges;
- ESG – Environmental, Social and Governance;
- investment in renewable energy sources and climate change adaptation and mitigation.
