Climate Days of the Wrocław Academic Community

On 17 and 18 November 2023, the Climate Days of the Wrocław Academic Community will take place. The event is organised together by the universities of Wrocław – Wrocław University of Science and Technology, the University of Wrocław, the Academy of Art and Design, Wroclaw University of Economics and Business and the Military University of Land Forces.

A project called LIFE-MAPPINGAIR/PL will participate in the event on behalf of the University of Wrocław.

We invite you to join us for such classes:

– “Air quality in the mountains and valleys, or in other words what we breathe during winter trips” – 17.11 at 9AM – 10AM and 10:30AM – 11:30AM, Department of Climatology and Atmosphere Protection, ul. Kosiby 8

– “Historical chimneys – a smog portrait of Wrocław” (17.11 and 18.11 at 1PM – 2PM, meeting at Wieża Matematyczna Gmachu Głównego UWr (the Mathematical Tower of the UWr Main Building)

– The subject of your e-mail should include: Climate Days 2023: “Mountains and Valleys” or “Historical Chimneys”.

As a part of the Climate Days, other interesting events will also take place in the Department of Climatology and Atmosphere Protection:

– “Soot in the atmosphere – a pollutant that affects the climate” (lecture by dr Anetta Drzeniecka-Osiadacz) and

– “The Arctic in the global climate system” (lecture by prof. Krzysztof Migała),

At the Institute of Geography and Regional Development, dr Anna Grochowska will present a lecture titled “The city and the climate – urban planning and climate change”.
