Student Scientific Associations Exchange 2023 – who won?

On Thursday, November 9, the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics hosted the traditional Student Scientific Associations Exchange organized by the Council of Scientific Associations at our university. Each Student Scientific Association operating at our University could set up a stand and present their activities to all interested parties. We were very pleased with the turnout – as many as 30 Student Clubs took part in the event!

During the Exchange, a panel consisting of the Vice-Rector for student affairs, the head of the Student and Doctoral Activity Support Section, a representative of the Student Self-Government, and two representatives of the Council of Scientific Associations evaluated the stands prepared by Student Scientific Associations in three categories, i.e. the popularisation, scientific and social categories.

The popularisation category – includes activities focusing on the popularisation of science by student clubs. Points will be awarded for the quality of content provided in terms of content and promotion, i.e. the quality of promotional materials or the attractiveness of the stand. The attractiveness of the popularising content and the degree of involvement of club members are also important.

The scientific category – comprises the activities aiming to support the development of the Students Scientific Associations. Points will be awarded for the manner and variety of the scientific content provided, i.e. the preparation of experiments, presentations, artefacts, thematic costumes or stand equipment.

The social category – covers broadly understood social activities of the circles. Points will be awarded for encouraging discussion and debate by exchange participants.

The jury awarded material and cash prizes in the form of a grant award for 2024.
