Author meeting with dr Magda Szcześniak

The Rosa Luxemburg Scientific Association of Left-Wing Thought invites you to the first external guest meeting of this academic year on Friday, 15 December! Dr Magda Szcześniak will talk about her latest book „Poruszeni. Awans i emocje w socjalistycznej Polsce”. As several author meetings have already taken place in various cities in Poland (we recommend the recording of the book launch in Warsaw), our meeting will have a more non-standard, original formula. We will start with a lecture prepared by the author herself, then we will move on to questions prepared by us and asked by the audience, and finally we will discuss together a passage from the book that dr Szcześniak has chosen especially for us. During the meeting, you will also have the opportunity to see photographs not included in the book and to watch excerpts from film documents. The meeting will be chaired by Nela Partyga from the Association’s Board of Management. The event will be held in the Polish language.
