Historical Institute of the University of Wrocław would like to invite you to the next meeting of the “Szewskie Czwartki” series on the Teams channel.
This time, a member of the Institute of History of the University of Wrocław, dr Jakub Węglorz, will be the speaker and he will talk about what new can be said about modern science and medicines thanks to interdisciplinary reconstructions.
Dr Jakub Węglorz is the head of the National Science Centre’s project as a part of which a team (consisting of researchers from the University of Wrocław, Wroclaw Medical University and Poznań University of Medical Sciences) is conducting a study to reconstruct the composition of medicines used in the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth between the 16th and 18th centuries, and to analyze the active compounds and biological activity of the supplements.
