
Dr Mateusz Bartoszewicz awarded a distinction for his doctoral thesis
The Polish Political Science Association’s competition for the best doctoral thesis defended in the discipline of political science and administration has been settled. We are pleased to announce that a graduate of our Alma Mater, the President of the UWr Doctoral Student Council in 2019-2020 – Dr Mateusz Bartoszewicz – has been awarded a distinction by the competition’s chapter for his dissertation entitled „Mechanizmy propagandy politycznej w polskich tygodnikach opinii – analiza porównawcza”. The thesis was supervised by dr hab. Lucyna Szot, prof. UWr from the Institute of Political Science at the University of Wrocław.
The winner of this year’s edition of the competition was dr Monika Cukier-Syguła for her thesis „Samorządowe elity polityczne miast na prawach powiatu w województwie śląskim po wyborach 2018 roku”. The thesis was supervised by prof. dr. hab. Sylwester Wróbel from the University of Silesia in Katowice.
