The 23rd Polonaise for Fredro is over

Traditionally, every year 100 days before high school finals we dance the Polonaise on the Wrocław Market Square together with this year’s secondary school graduates! And all because of the “Polonaise for Fredro” event, which has been organised in our city for twenty-three years! This year, not only was the weather fine, but the turnout was record-breaking, and we danced the Polonaise not only around the Market Square but also around Count Aleksander Fredro looking down on the students from his pedestal! We believe that dancing the Polonaise on the Market Square brings good luck at secondary school finals!

-High school graduates! We are keeping our fingers crossed for you at your school-leaving exams. The University of Wrocław is waiting for you, you are most welcome to study at the university! Wrocław is a beautiful place to study.” – said Professor Patrycja Matusz, Vice-Rector of the University of Wrocław, who represented the rector’s authorities at the 23rd Polonaise for Fredro!

Graduates! Of course we are waiting for you! The walls of our university are open to you. We will start summer recruitment in June and there are around 150 courses and 300 specialisations waiting for you! This includes very popular majors such as psychology, law, journalism and social communication, Korean studies, Chinese studies, computer science, chemistry and forensic toxicology, but also many other interesting fields of study: natural sciences, law and social sciences, philology, humanities, science and technology. We have a lot of programmes in English, and studies are conducted in full-time and part-time form (extramural and evening). Recruitment rules, course descriptions, specialisations and other important information can be found in our recruitment service www.rekrutacja.uni.wroc.pl.
