Doctoral students receive diplomas from Mayor Jacek Sutryk (Student Scholarship Programme)
On 21 February, Jacek Sutryk, Mayor of Wrocław, presented diplomas to doctoral students – winners of the Student Scholarship Programme. Among the winners were 16 doctoral students from the University of Wrocław. During the ceremony, our doctoral students were accompanied by the Rector of the University of Wrocław, prof. Robert Olkiewicz, as well as deans and professors. Our sincere congratulations! (List of winners below).
The scholarship may be applied for by participants of doctoral studies who have outstanding achievements in areas important for the development of Wrocław. The Student Scholarship Programme is implemented – on the initiative of the President of Wroclaw – by the Wrocław Academic Centre, and the scholarships are financed from the funds of the Municipality of Wrocław. In the current edition of the Programme, scholarships were granted to a total of 24 doctoral students, and the scholarship committees awarded 22 people.

In the current academic year, the following were awarded:
- 24 scholarships for doctoral students of PLN 2,000 per month for a total amount of PLN 432,000
- 49 scholarships for winners of subject olympiads and competitions of PLN 1,000 each per month, a total amount of PLN 441,000
- 75 scholarships for students going abroad in the winter semester of PLN 500 per month, a total amount of PLN 201,000
- 62 scholarships for students going abroad in the summer term at PLN 500 per month for a total amount of PLN 158,500.
