Pre-school and early childhood pedagogy with the Certificate “Studia z Przyszłością”

During the 9th edition of the Competition and Certification Program “Studia z Przyszłością” [Studies with the future], the Selection Board decided to grant the Accreditation Certificate 2024 to Pre-school and early childhood pedagogy, the program of the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences of the University of Wrocław. The application of Pre-school and early childhood pedagogy scored 59 points (out of 60 points), which resulted in the additional awarding of yet another certificate for the field, namely Extraordinary Certificate – Lider Jakości Kształcenia [Leader of the quality of education].

Competition and Certification Program “Studia z Przyszłością” is a project organized by the Foundation for the Development of Education and Higher Education and the Creative Agency PRC. The project discovers and promotes academic centers and educational initiatives, where passion intertwines with wisdom, culture, knowledge, and beauty of the human mind. The courses and institutions recognized by the program are the most valuable venues for academic activities in Poland. (source: https://www.studiazprzyszloscia.pl/strona-105)

The Gala of Awarding the Accreditation Certificates took place on March 4th at the Concert Hall of the Polish National Radio Wrocław at ul. Karkonoska 10. The ceremony was attended by a delegation from the University of Wrocław composed of:

  1. dr Marta Kondracka-Szala – Head for the Department of Pre-school and early childhood pedagogy from the Institute of Pedagogy;
  2. prof. UWr dr hab. Alicja Szerląg – Director for the Institute of Pedagogy;
  3. prof. UWr dr hab. Arkadiusz Urbanek – Vice Dean for the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences.

The diplomas and statuettes were presented by prof. Dariusz Rott from the Certification Committee (University of Silesia, University of the National Education Commission, Kraków), Grażyna Kaczmarczyk (Foundation for the Development of Education and Higher Education), and dr Barłomiej E. Nowak (National Agency for Academic Exchange). It is a great honor for the University of Wrocław, the Faculty of Historical and Pedagogical Sciences, and most importantly for the Institute of Pedagogy. It is worth noting that the awarded program implemented at the University of Wrocław was one of the two recognized pedagogical programs from all over Poland and the only one to be granted the Certificate Lider Jakości Kształcenia.
