Smith & Nephew strengthens cooperation with University of Wrocław

In today’s world, where personal development, practical skills and professional experience play a key role, cooperation between universities and companies in the field of student activities opens new opportunities for students. Taking this into account, the University of Wrocław, thanks to talks initiated by the Centre for Technology Transfer, signed a framework cooperation agreement with Smith & Nephew.

Smith & Nephew is a healthcare company that specializes in the production and distribution of advanced medical products and therapeutic solutions. Smith & Nephew’s business is based on a strong tradition of innovation and commitment to the development of modern medical technologies, which allows it to introduce innovative solutions to the market and improve healthcare standards around the world.

Upon the initiative of Dominika Buczkowska, Head of the Academic Career Office, cooperation with Smith & Nephew was based on several main activities. Smith & Nephew invites our students to apprenticeships and internships, which enable them to be directly involved in actual projects and work on specific business challenges. During study visits to the company’s headquarters, students become familiar with the working environment and the company’s organizational structure, which allows for a better understanding of the labor market and the modern economy. Additional activities in the form of thematic webinars allow students to familiarize themselves with the latest trends and technologies.

Cooperation between the University and Smith & Nephew in the field of student activities is a step towards integrating education with business and promoting the personal and professional development of the young generation.
