It is with great pleasure that we announce the upcoming visit of Professor Thomas Weigend to the Digital Justice Center!
Thomas Weigend received a doctoral degree from the University of Fribourg in 1977 and a degree of Master of Comparative Law from the University of Chicago in 1973. He taught German criminal law, comparative criminal law and criminal procedure at the University of Cologne (Germany) from 1986 to 2016.
He served as a Visiting Professor at several universities including University of Tokyo, New York University, and Peking University. He is the author of more than 300 scientific publications. During his upcoming visit to Wrocław from April 15th to April 20th, Professor Weigend will give an open lecture in English on “Criminal Liability of and for Automated Weapons Systems”, scheduled for April 18th at 13:15. The lecture will take place at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wrocław in room 2D.
