Cooperation between the UWr and the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation

The result of the project “Partnerstwo z DAWG dla rozwoju kompetencji społecznych i biznesowych studentów i doktorantów Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego” (‘Partnership with DAWG for the development of social and business competences of students and doctoral students at the University of Wrocław’) is a declaration of cooperation signed on 26 April 2024 between the UWr and the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation.

The project is being implemented as part of the University of Wrocław’s Socio-Economic Cooperation Support Competition. The declaration was signed by the Rector of UWr, prof. Robert Olkiewicz, and Michał Rado, President of the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation. Also present at the ceremony were DAWG General Director Paulina Duszyńska and Anna Juras, Manager of the UWr Research University Excellence Initiative Project Office, the main initiators of the event.

The aim of the cooperation between the UWr and the DAWG is, among other things, to promote innovation, technology transfer and the development of entrepreneurship in Lower Silesia, to create attractive conditions for the University’s academic community to shape and develop the social and business competencies of students and doctoral students, to carry out joint research and development and educational projects, and to exchange knowledge, experience and ideas.

The University of Wrocław community, and in particular students and doctoral students, gain not only the opportunity to cooperate in scientific and technological research, including jointly applying for scientific and technological grants, but also to organise joint conferences, seminars, workshops and training sessions aimed at exchanging knowledge and promoting innovation and entrepreneurship.

The cooperation will enable the realisation of apprenticeships, internships and cooperation in research projects, free use of the laboratories located in the triQube Business Incubator (i.e. motion-capture laboratory, photogrammetry laboratory and use of the audio-video studio). The opportunity to establish business contacts is not insignificant.

We encourage the entire University of Wrocław academic community to take advantage of the rich offer of the DAWG.

More details and invitations to specific events will be coming soon.
