Oder River Day 2024 – dive into science at the University of Wrocław stand
Plenty of attractions await all lovers of sport, fun and science this Saturday, 18 May, at the Xawery Dunikowski Boulevard, where the Oder River Picnic will be held. We especially invite you to the stand of the University of Wrocław from 12 to 6 pm.
During the Oder River Picnic, you will dive into physics and experiments together with staff from the UWr Faculty of Physics and Astronomy:
- density, i.e. what floats and what sinks, density tower
- Archimedes’ screw – how to transport water upwards
- water and tricks – it’s not magic, it’s science
- pressure
We also have workshops for the little ones:
- ocean in the bottle
- balancing diver
Meanwhile, the UWr Faculty of Biological Sciences, together with the Pollena company, invites you to a workshop on making natural soaps and creams.
The event is organised by the City and Tourism Promotion Office of the Wrocław City Hall.
