Lower Silesian Science Festival awarded!
Last year’s edition of the Lower Silesian Science Festival was awarded in the Popularyzacja nauki (Popularisation of Science) category of the PRom Association competition. The annual awards were presented on 3 June in Katowice.
Every year, the PR and Promotion of Polish Universities “Prom” Association announces a competition that awards communication, information and promotion activities carried out by and for universities in Poland. In assessing the submitted projects, the jury took into account their innovation and creativity in relation to standard activities, compliance with generally recognised principles of public relations with particular emphasis on their ethical aspects, the social responsibility of science, as well as the benefits gained and the strength of impact. This year, 45 ideas were submitted. The winner in the category POPULARYZACJA NAUKI (POPULARISATION OF SCIENCE) was the XXVI Lower Silesian Science Festival 2023, the University of Wrocław – Lower Silesian Science Festival Office as an interuniversity unit + 12 organising universities.
The XXVI Lower Silesian Science Festival 2023, organised by a consortium of eleven Wrocław universities and two institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences, was a unique event on the educational and cultural map of Lower Silesia. Initiated in 1998, the Festival continues its mission of popularising science, interdisciplinary education and the integration of the academic community with the inhabitants of the region, offering free access to a wide range of popular science and cultural events to all residents of Wrocław and Lower Silesia.
