The All-University System of Extracurricular Programmes – detailed information available!
Dear Students,
this year, the Rector of the University of Wrocław has established a pilot programme – the All-University System of Extracurricular Programmes (OSPP). Within this framework, in the academic year 2024/2025 we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to participate in the free extracurricular courses from various fields and disciplines, not necessarily connected to the already taken studies.
For whom?
All undergraduate and graduate students, as well as students of long-cycle studies of any degree courses or modes, may participate in the activities. Participation in the extracurricular courses will be free, and they will result in a pass (without a grade). The courses will not be included in the syllabus of the studies and will not be taken into account during the settlement of the studies process. The extracurricular course will be credited at the student’s request, as recorded in the supplement.
What subjects?
The pilot programme of the extracurricular courses has enjoyed great interest from our teaching staff. Concerning OSPP, the university teachers have reported almost 80 extracurricular courses! Thematic scope? From ‘Daily life in the USA’, through ‘From Mordor to Matrix. Fantastic philosophy of politics’, ‘The basics of computer graphics’, ‘The workshops of dealing with procrastination’, to ‘Biophysics for body and soul’ and ‘Travel: a life learning experience?’.
The full offer of the courses along with the detailed information and specific hours of the classes’ realisation will be shortly accessible on the website UWr All-University System of Extracurricular Programmes. We will inform you about it without delay.
How and when to sign up?
For the OSPP courses, a registration via USOS system will be activated. We plan to launch the basic registration around September 23rd and close it on October 5th (the registration will embrace both the winter and summer semester subjects, and the all-year courses).
Only the courses that enjoy the greatest interest will be selected to be realised. If a subject chosen by you is not activated, it will be possible to join the launched courses (provided that there are vacancies) in the additional registration taking place from October 9th to October 10th.
We will inform you in September about the activation of the registration on the OSPP courses and specific schedule and the rules of signing up.
The classes will start on October 14th at the earliest (the second Monday of the winter semester 2024/2025)
ATTENTION!
The All-University System of Extra-curricular Programmes does not include the extracurricular courses offered by the Academic Bureau of Careers, ‘Resourcefulness – stories of success’, ‘Design your career’, ‘University Dragons’ Den’ and ‘Training for effective teamwork’.
All detailed information is available on the SITE.
The courses can be attended by first-cycle, second-cycle and long-cycle students of all fields and modes of study. Participation in extra-curricular courses is free of charge.
Students may register for one extra-curricular course per semester or one course per academic year.
Extracurricular courses taken are not included in the study programme and are not taken into account when calculating the course of study. A passed course may be recorded in the diploma supplement. A student independently attaches the extra-curricular course to the appropriate programme and the cycle of studies in the USOSweb system.
Registration for selected classes takes place through the USOSweb system – link – according to the schedule published there.
