Physics and computer science at the top of the fields of study: Perspektywy 2024 ranking
The University of Wrocław was ranked fifth in the ranking published on June 26 by the Perspektywy Educational Foundation University Ranking 2024. The leader of the ranking is Warsaw University, followed by Jagiellonian University in second place, then Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and the University of Gdańsk.
In the 2024 Academic Ranking of Universities, which includes all types (both public and non-public) of universities, we are ranked 19th. We were overtaken mainly by technical and medical universities.
Ranking methodology is based on 7 main categories: prestige (12%), graduates on the labour market (12%), innovation (8%), scientific potential (13%), scientific efficiency (30%), education conditions (10%), internationalisation (15%).
The strongest point of the University of Wrocław is prestige, in this category we maintained last year‘s 7th place among all universities. This indicator is calculated on the basis of the university’s reputation among academic staff and international recognition (the university’s position in the most important global rankings).
Ranking Kierunków Studiów Perspektywy 2024
The best fields of study at the UWr have been for many years now physics and computer science (Master’s studies). These fields of study, again as last year, ranked third among all Polish universities.
High places were taken by humanities, social sciences and natural sciences fields of study
As many as ten fields of study conducted at our university were ranked a very good fourth in the country:

cultural studies
journalism and communication
pedagogy
psychology
law
biotechnology
geography
Fifth place went to:
astronomy
Polish studies
foreign philologies
geology
Sixth place went to mathematics and philosophy, and seventh to administration, biology, English studies and chemistry.

The ranking of majors shows that it is worth studying both science and humanities or natural sciences at the University of Wrocław. We would like to remind you that recruitment for studies at the UWr is ongoing. Our rich educational offer this year has been expanded to include new fields of study.
