Outdoor Education Workshop
It is time to summarise the workshop ‘Outdoor Education jako sposób budowania kompetencji Ekologicznych i społecznych’, organised by dr Joanna Malinowska and dr Agnieszka Janik from the Department of Early Childhood and Pre-school Pedagogy, Institute of Pedagogy and held in May and June of this academic year.
As part of the workshop, the students tried innovative working methods and techniques typical of outdoor education and conducive to experiencing group processes, experiencing being in a community in the face of problems and difficulties, and enabling a deeper relationship with nature through experiencing and exploring it. The spaces of Lark Park, Anders Hill and East Park hosted interesting educational workshops, games and challenge-based games.
During the project’s closing exhibition, held in the institute’s green courtyard, the students shared their post-project impressions with the public. Visitors also had the opportunity to view the eco-sculptures created during the workshops and to take part in activating activities. The vernissage was crowned by a lively discussion.
The workshop was funded by the Rector of the University of Wrocław from the 2024 Teaching Fund.
