Aurelia Przyborska passed away
On 9 August 2024, Mrs Aurelia Przyborska – long-time head of the dean’s office – passed away at the age of 70. Mrs Aurelia’s daughter stressed that ‘the University, the Faculty, the administrative and academic staff was a very important part of her life. She put a huge amount of heart into her work.’.
The funeral ceremony will take place on 17 August (Saturday) at 9.30 a.m. at the parish cemetery at ul. Smętna (Sępolno) in Wrocław. The funeral will be in Catholic rite.
Mrs Aurelia Przyborska worked at the University of Wrocław from 5 January 1978 until 31 December 2019. Work, and in particular the academic environment, was a very important part of her life to which she devoted herself wholeheartedly. For many people, she was an incredible role model of diligence, conscientiousness, care and attentiveness to others. She inspired admiration in terms of her professional knowledge and skills, while her approach to others, with a heart on her hand and extraordinary empathy, made her unite people. All of us who had the privilege of working with her strive to carry this work culture further. She will remain forever in our hearts and memories.
