More Miniatury grants for our researchers
NCN has allocated PLN 5 million in the MINIATURA8 competition for 132 female researchers. Among them are two of our young researchers and three female researchers.
Experts selected 38 to carry out research in the humanities, social sciences and arts. 55 were awarded in the area of life sciences. In the science and technology group, 39 laureates were selected.
Among the winners from the University of Wrocław are:
dr Hanna Kędzierska from the Faculty of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures, receiving a grant for research entitled “Wpływ wymowy cudzoziemskiej na przetwarzanie błędów w idiomach: badanie psycholingwistyczne”;
dr Kamil Błaszczyński from the Faculty of Social Sciences, receiving a grant for research entitled “Test przekonań religijno-nacjonalnych – narzędzie badawcze”;
dr Daria Derkacz from the Faculty of Biotechnologiy, receiving a grant for research entitled “Izolacja i określenie struktury β-glukanu pozyskanego ze ściany komórkowej szczepów Candida albicans z zaburzoną syntezą ergosterolu oraz ocena wpływu β-glukanu na odpowiedź zapalną i komórkową”;
dr Wojciech Wiertelak from the Faculty of Biotechnologiy, receiving a grant for research entitled ”Wpływ terapii galaktozą na transkryptom komórek ludzkich”;
dr Julia Chudzian from the Faculty of Biotechnologiy, receiving a grant for research entitled “Alternatywne formaty przeciwciał rozpoznające receptor 3 czynników wzrostu fibroblastów do zastosowań terapeutycznych”.
The aim of the MINIATURA competition is to support scientific activities that are the starting point for developing the premises of a research project, the financing of which can then be applied for in NCN or other national and international competitions.
During the eighth edition of the competition, funding of between PLN 5,000 and PLN 50,000 could be obtained for the implementation of a scientific activity with a duration of up to 12 months.
The total budget allocated for this year’s competition was PLN 20 million.
