Krzysztof Burski passed away

We are deeply saddened to announce that Krzysztof Burski, a long-time employee of the University Library in Wrocław, passed away from us on 29 September 2024 at the age of 91.

The funeral ceremony will take place on Saturday 05-10-2024 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of the municipal cemetery at ul. Osobowicka in Wrocław.

Mgr Krzysztof Burski – long-standing Head of the Reprographic Unit of the University Library in Wrocław (1965-2000). He transformed the laboratory into a modern BUWr unit. He modernised the machine park, introduced significant software changes, started microfilming library collections, opened up services outside the university – acquiring foreign projects, introduced innovative techniques for preserving collections from microfilming to digital copies. He put a lot of heart and commitment into the development of the lab.
