Arqus: Joint Programmes workshop at the University of Wrocław
Joint Programs means International Joint Studies, a term that covers a wide range of different possibilities for creating study programs in which universities from different countries participate. Participation can take many forms, but two elements are key – the joint creation of the programme and the participation of students or staff from all the universities involved.
The Arqus Alliance envisions 3 programmes at the undergraduate level and 3 at the graduate level in the coming years. At least 2 Arqus partner universities should participate in each program, but priority will be given to consortia formed from as many universities as possible. The universities jointly create a program of study, develop learning outcomes, and determine the method of graduation. This can be a joint diploma, but also a diploma with a joint supplement, a double diploma or other solutions. For a program to have a truly international dimension, it must also include an element of student mobility and provide opportunities for mobility of academics.
In short, such joint studies mean that students at different Arqusa cooperating universities follow the same program of study.
And it is the Joint Programmes that the next workshop organized at the University of Wroclaw is about! Today and tomorrow at the University Library, researchers and administrative staff from member universities of the Arqus Alliance of European Universities will discuss the creation of the next International Joint Studies. During the workshop, participants will receive expert guidance and support in designing and developing joint programmes, ensuring the highest quality of newly launched initiatives.
