Dr Jadwiga Kowalewska passed away
With deep regret we announce that dr Jadwiga Kowalewska, born on 14 May 1946, passed away on 29 November 2024.
Researcher of the history of publishing fiction during World War I, author of many scientific works, a respected academic teacher, educator of many generations of Polish library scientists.
For many years she was professionally connected with the University of Wrocław, since 1973 with the Institute of Library Science, where until 1989 she worked as an assistant professor in the Department of Editing and Writing Culture and later in the Department of Contemporary Books and Editing.
She will remain in our memory as a wonderful person, an outstanding scholar, and an authority for several generations of students and researchers.
The funeral ceremony will take place on 3 December 2024 at 13:00 at the Municipal Cemetery Grabiszyn branch, ul. Grabiszyńska 333, 53-236 Wrocław.
