Dr Joanna Zakolska passed away
Dr Joanna Zakolska, born on 8 February 1974 in Opole, passed away on 20 December 2024.
The funeral ceremony will take place on 11 January 2025 at 11.50 am in the chapel at Osobowicki Cemetery.
Dr Joanna Zakolska is a former employee of the Faculty of Law Administration and Economics. A respected constitutionalist and researcher of the theoretical foundations of the principle of subsidiarity and its implementation in generally applicable laws.
She was a dedicated colleague who could always be counted on by her colleagues and an excellent teacher, able to explain to her students not only the letter of the law, but also its meaning and the principles by which future lawyers should be guided in their professional lives. Her conscientious and unexceptional attitude as a researcher and didactician is a role model for all those who could work with her.
The development of dr Joanna Zakolska’s scientific career was interrupted by a sudden accident, which initiated her long-standing illness, which also made it impossible for her to continue her teaching work.
Dr Joanna Zakolska was an extremely important person, not only for her family and friends, but also for the students and people she inspired with her scientific works. Although we have lost her forever, she will remain in our memories, and the ideas she created will still be alive in the scientific works of the next generations of lawyers.
Although we lose a friend and support with her passing, she remains a role model for us.
