Third edition of Translators and Interpreters’ Day ahead of us
The Institute of Romance Studies invites you to the third edition of Translators and Interpreters’ Day!
This year, the event takes the form of a two-day event, which is made possible, among other things, thanks to co-financing from the European Commission and the University of Wrocław (as part of a pro-quality competition aimed at subsidising extra-curricular educational initiatives for students). Translators and Interpeters’ Day 2025 is being held as part of the Translating Europe Workshop series.
This year’s edition will once again introduce the various aspects and challenges of translator’s work – in a practical way and based on the experiences of invited guests representing various fields of the profession. Participants will be able to hear, among other things, about literary translation, game localisation, audiodescription, translation in the European Union and programmes supporting the development of young translators.
Although organised by the Institute of Romance Studies, the event is not limited to Romance languages – all speeches will be given in Polish so that as many people as possible interested in translation can attend.
On 12 March, we would like to invite you to the lectures of invited guests, which will be held in the Department of Jewish Studies (ul. Świętej Jadwigi 3/4, s. 115):

13.00-13.45 – Agnieszka Żukowska – Tłumaczenia na czas: jak skutecznie zarządzać tłumaczeniami w unijnym procesie prawodawczym
13.45-14.00 – Anna Kuźnik – Projekt dydaktyczny „Le Nouveau Bauhaus Européen”: architektoniczno-klimatyczno-instytucjonalny mix
15.45-16.30 – Anna Wendorff – Przetłumaczyć obraz na słowa. O audiodeskrypcji sztuk plastycznych
16.30-17.15 – Ewa Nawrocka – Kontinuum kreatywności w lokalizacji gier
